Short report n. 5 - In vitro test for the evaluation of individual risk of metastasis in surgically treated women for breast cancer

MammaPrint® is a genetic test designed to predict individual risk of recurence in patients with breast cancer. 

In vitro of genes in a sample of surgically removed breast of women treated for breast cancer. The test is used to predict individual risk of classifies the patients in two categories: low and high risk of metastasis test, based on a microarray methodology, that measures the level of activitydeveloping metastasis. The test classifies the patients in two categories: low and high risk of metastasis.
